Best web hosting for Dreamweaver, ASP, javascript, MS Access?

Hi,

There is no best hosting and beware of people who try to tell you X host is the best as they are often just pushing an affiliate program or own the host.

It sounds like you are going to need Windows hosting because of the ASP/MS Access. Windows hosting can be tricky as not as many people provide it and it will cost more since it cost the provider money and usually Windows admins are harder to find. For cheap windows hosting I recommend checking out discountasp.com as they are pretty well know. If you are willing to pay a little more a quality provider is appliedi.net, aka applied innovations and they are quite good.

www.2ip.com and it is fully free

hope i helped ya

Other Replys:I wouldn%26#039;t recommend them as the idea solution for ALL hosting needs (and especially for people looking for a LAMP host - Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP)...

But GoDaddy does offer you the choice of a Linux or Windows box to host your site on, and if you sign up for hosting at the same time you register your domain, then they%26#039;ll give you a discount on the domain registration too...

I normally use GoDaddy for registering the domain name, and get my hosting from HostGator (I%26#039;ve been really happy with their tech support -- and I%26#039;m a software engineer, so I%26#039;ve asked some REALLY technical questions). I know they do offer ASP though I don%26#039;t have knowledge of their MS Access implementation or lack thereof. You might want to ask on their pre-sales discussion group, here...

Yes, that%26#039;s an affiliate link.

But hey, I did recommend GoDaddy first... and I wouldn%26#039;t be recommending HostGator to anyone if I didn%26#039;t stand behind them... I currently have three websites hosted there, use them for all my clients, and it%26#039;s MY reputation on the line here too, which is a lot more valuable than whatever chunk of change I might earn from the link.
