Assume you閳ユ獫e been assigned a Web development project that will provide the online presence of a corporation that sells over 1,000 different products. Answer the following:
The client of this project is uncertain what type of Web hosting should be used, but insists on using an Access database of all the products they wish to offer online. Provide a brief explanation of what type of Web hosting account is needed, which server best supports the needs of the project, and what programming language will be used to work with the Access database.
plz plz help me... with dis...i hav searched everywhere 4 dis..
Plz i need badly help 4 dis web hosting question?
As someone who%26#039;s reputation would be one the line when the Access solution fails (because it doesn%26#039;t scale well), I%26#039;d look for a Windows-based host that supplies both Access support and Microsoft SQL Server... and get ready to migrate when the boss claims that the site is too slow.

If we%26#039;re talking strictly Microsoft solutions, then the scripting engine should be ASP.

An alternative might be a ColdFusion-driven site... it has good support for Microsoft database drivers (both Access and SQL) built-in.

My personal choice would be PHP... which does have the ability to connect to any database with ODBC drivers (which, again, includes Access and SQL).

if there is over 1000 i would personally go with ASP database, would work and be easier for you, check into that. Well most websites are transfering from the Access to the ASP now anyways because the databases are smaller, which can be accessed faster and pluss not as much pull on the network. Check into that. If i%26#039;m not mistaken i believe that an SQL server will need to be in place to process this, but please check into it.
