i have a band and wanna get the name out there without it being like.. %26quot;www.websiteasdkljfa;sldjfa;sdfj;as/band...

i hate some of those web hosting sites.

If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don%26#039;t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.

If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months%26#039; time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.

Other Replys:Well.. I dont know of any that are free, but Yahoo!%26#039;s web hosting/domain purchasing is pretty cheap. For the 1st year:$2. [At least, when I got it, it was;im not sure if it still is] and after that its only $10/year.

I was in the same position and wasted lots of valuable time with sites that say they offer free things. Then a good friend of mine recommended a site that offered me a free .com name but I had to pay a small fee for the hosting. The best thing about it was, I did not spend anymore money coz everything else was free, personalised e-mail addresses, photo galleries, forums, shopping cart and the lot.
