Can I use a domain with tow companies, one for the web hosting and one for the e-mail?

I want to have my own WEB PAGE, but I don%26#039;t have enough mony to pay for the web hosting service.

I already have my own domain registered with YAHOO, and I%26#039;m using it only for my personal e-mail. I want to know if it is possible to keep using my Yahoo e-mail service while i host my web site in a free web hosting service that allows me to use my own domain. And, how should I configure the NAME SERVERS to do that.

I saw on the free hosting services that I need to point the NAME SERVER from my domain to theirs, so that means that I have to delete the ones from YAHOO, and, I think that doing that would stop my yahoo e-mail service.

Yes, this is possible. Here%26#039;s what to do:

A simple method would be to get a subdomain or free domain from your free website host. I%26#039;m sure that your free hosting provider offers this. Follow these steps:

1. Log on to your Business Control Panel (here on Yahoo!).

2. Once signed in, click %26quot;Manage My Services%26quot;

3. Select %26quot;Domain Control Panel.%26quot;

4. Click the %26quot;Forward Your Domain%26quot; link.

5. Click the %26quot;Create Forward%26quot; button.

6. If you already set up a Yahoo! starter page, click the %26quot;Deactivate Start Web Page%26quot; button.

7. Select the second radio button option, entitled %26quot;The web site at:%26quot;

8. Enter the free domain given to you by your free hosting provider.

9. Click %26quot;Continue%26quot;

10. Now, you will be asked whether or no you%26#039;d like to mask your domain. I would reccomend masking, the second option, because all the pages they look at on your site will look like they%26#039;re at yourdomain.com. The other option will show the free domain to your visitors, detracting from the %26quot;professional%26quot; attitude of your website.

Now, you will keep your Yahoo! email, and you%26#039;ll be linked directly to your website. And, to cap it off, you won%26#039;t need to do any A or MX record editing. Good luck!

The mail records and website records in DNS are separate. They do not have to point to the same place. And since you have the domain, you can change DNS to point to whatever hosting you want. That being said, you have to understand DNS to get this right.

Other Replys:you could try http://kohost.0lx.net

provides fast and free hosting where you can host your own websites, forums, etc..

it%26#039;ll provide you with a free sub-domain
