Well I%26#039;ve a question here, how do I set up an FTP account for my friend? As in, I%26#039;ve 5GB of space but I want to give some of it to my friend. He must have a username and password to access his account. May I know if this feature is available in 1and1.com web hosting at $2.99/mth?

After doing some simple viewing on the $2.99 package, sorry to say, this option is not available. This package only allow 1 FTP account, which I believe belongs to you, and only you, and no one else but you. ;) Too bad. You have no luck in this.
Option for multiple FTP accounts are made available for other package starting from $4.99.
Alternative: Opt for other hosting package from other company..and cheaper too!

1%26amp;1 doesn%26#039;t permit it, but with the host I use (http://www.dependablehost.net), I can have up to 10 different FTP accounts. And I also have control over where they have access to.
Check them out - their service is awesome, and price is right. 100% uptime for 1.5 years now. They have a coupon now for first month free - give %26#039;em a shot!
